Working Writers Take Online Meetings

If you are a working writer this social distancing thing really doesn’t affect you as much as some of the other people around you. Only in that you generally work from home anyway and unless you have kids stuck at home and a spouse you can pretty much keep on trucking. One thing we have started to do to help relieve some of the tension and to have some support during this time is to participate in online writing group meetings. You can do a critique group with just one or two of your fellow writers or even create meetings on Zoom.us where up to 100 people can get online for 40 minutes for free.

Being a published writer and working with two more here in North Florida we have decided to create our own little writing group and do honest critiques of what we are all working on and at the end of the meeting go over some helpful ideas such as how to market the books already published and get more readers. We may even bring in other experts like a voice over person to give us hints and tips on how to prepare the books for conversion over to audible editions. Yes, that is quite an expensive proposition for self-published authors but that is really where the next great wave is going to be happening for published authors.
