My name is Jolene and I am a published author, website design, digital marketer and a handcrafted bead and wire jewelry maker. I enjoy reading, writing blog articles, traveling, helping other authors to self-publish, as well as getting lost in creating bead and wire jewelry and accessories. I now have my own online bookstore which I hope to expand to a real “Sticks N’ Bricks” place sometime in the future. I am working on my first App for a new project close to my heart, encourage more women to go camping, called Solo Sojourn – CLICK HERE FOR THE WEBSITE and follow along on my adventures.

Are You a Full or Part-Time RVer and Want to Know More About Work-Camping (Working while camping) in Florida? I was a full-time RVer for about 6 years. My mom and I traveled around the state of Florida in an old Class A RV. After the first six months we ran out of “Fun” money and had to settle down somewhere. However, neither one of us wanted to stop traveling so we started volunteering as workampers in our Florida State Parks. We even got a gig with one the National Forests and one county park before we have to hang up our spurs and settle down again. Sadly, the old RV blew an engine and was too old to refurbish. And, again, sadly, Mom passed away last year. I will someday like to start traveling again. I just need a steady income, a good used Class C in sound mechanical shape and possibly a partner to travel with. Publishing Short Stories with

First Coast Romance Writers Organization
I have volunteered another short story for one of FCRWs anthologies for October 2025. This one will be part of the “Shared-World Anthology called Pinevale Valley series. The group has been releasing one story a month August 2024 and have more scheduled till the end of 2025. Volunteering a short story/novella to the group’s themed anthologies is a great way for us newbie fiction writers to write a complete short story/novella, participate in the publishing process and learn about digital marketing as well. FCRW supports romance writers, both indie and traditionally published, who live or work in the North Florida region. Of course, with their open door policy and having all of their workshops and meetings being held on Zoom and in person they have been attracting authors from other states as well.

My Online Southern Women Crafts Store –

Selling your handcrafted items can be a real challenge these days. Most of us start on Etsy or Shopify. I personally, used Etsy for a while and another handcrafting online store service that never sold anything. But then I was approved for Amazon Handmade which worked great for several years. However, I have since closed my Amazon shop due to several bad experiences. Now all of our family’s handcrafted items are only available on our own online store.

As an independent handcraft artist I hope to encourage more people to visit my own online store as the prices are slightly less than what I have to charge on Amazon. Having your very own website store is a better way to control your revenue once you get established and do not have to pay any additional fees nor will your sales be suddenly frozen or disappear.
