Clever Detective Series is written by Linsey Lanier and is a series of short stories and novellas about private detective Stacey Alexander. There are five stories in the series about a tough female PI who “has the strangest day of her life when she falls down a hollow tree and meets her new client, a nutty old dude with a crown who thinks he’s a king. She’d climb right out of there, except that the crazy dude wants her to find his missing son, the Prince. And that is one hot-looking male. She’d be crazy herself not to take this case.”
I read the first two books because they were offered for FREE on Amazon Kindle. They were well written and tongue-in-cheek funny. Even though they are only short stories and a couple of novellas they are definitely worth downloading and reading. So much so that I have paid for the third book and am thinking of getting the 4th in the series. But I learned that the fifth book is only available in the boxed set. You might as well pay the $2.99 for all five stories. It doesn’t look like the author will be writing any more in the series but you never know.
