Review for Catch the Fire

Review for Catch the Fire by Lacey Dancer. This is the first book I have been involved with from the beginning. The writer started and wrote the story then did all the editing. I took over getting it ready for publication along with creating the book cover. It is an exacting process and took about 7 days of diligent work to get it formatted properly to pass the Amazon Paperback tests. Then I converted that to Kindle eBook format.

The paperback formatting had to be redone several different times to get the margins correct, the header to the writer’s specifications and the page numbers. The cover took about a week too in that there were several versions before the final one was created that both the writer and the creator were satisfied with and finally passed the Amazon tests for paperback publication.

Needless to say, I have read and re-read the help section of KDP Amazon at least 7 times and have downloaded the steps as well. I have several different copies of the margins, still trying to get the whole thing about ‘bleed’ and have watched several videos on YouTube. I love YouTube and highly recommend it to everyone who wants to do this self-publishing thing on their own.

Catch the Fire is the 4th book in the Live Oak Series written by Lacey Dancer. The story continues with the lives and loves of those involved in bringing a much-needed construction project to the rural north Florida area. The very next night it is discovered that someone has been neatly pilfering food from out of a snack and drink box set up on the construction site. To catch the thief Nancy and her brother sit up all night to find out who it is. RJ joins in on the stakeout. To their dismay, they discover a young child and her little dog are the thieves. The pup is in a very bad way and the child is not much better. RJ and Nancy are united in their quest to make sure they both survive.

Yes, you will laugh, you will cry and by the end of the story you will be looking forward to a new installment.
