Is Technology Killing Our Inventiveness

Is technology killing our urge to be and learn how to be more inventive? I know technology is supposed to help us come together as a planet full of people and technology itself has grown by leaps and bounds over the last 30 years but are we really any better off? Where are all the MacGyvers when you need them? Can our children be taught to think outside the box when our current education system requires that they learn all the same way, learn all the same things and just pass the tests? We need creative thinkers and encourage more people to become inventors.

Yes, we all have heard that all the truly great inventions that could help the human race are being bought off and hidden away from the world. There is one thing that might help those inventions to come to light and that is our social media. It would be nice to have a social media storm of posts about some great invention that almost anybody could create themselves to better their lives instead of which celebrity is having an affair, which politician is sleeping with his/her intern and what our crazy president is doing this week. I would hope that in the next couple of weeks you will come across some video or blog post that has a great way to build your own power source for free and start sharing those to every single person you know.

We also hope you are encouraging your children, grandchildren and even yourself to be creative in solving your problems, coming up with your own inventions and someday we will be getting rid of the monetary system, encouraging more artists to create and have the solutions for world hunger, disease and getting along with one another. Otherwise, we should all just head out into the woods, live off the land, and off the grid.
