Wrapping Up Eve Duncan Mystery

In trying to wrap-up the one very pressing Eve Duncan mystery, Iris Johansen has given her readers’ several books in one year with nice long and interesting storylines that will culminate in the revelation about her daughter’s, Bonnie, mysterious death. She has written them from each of the main character’s point of view with their own climatic endings while keeping you on the edge of your seat to learn, finally, how her little daughter died and where she is buried. As with any series you will want to read them in order to ensure that you don’t miss any vital clues. These three books together will give a complete picture of the characters and how they have been dealing with their loss. You will also get a lot of background on each of the characters that Ms. Johansen wasn’t able to fit into any of the other books in the series. We won’t go into any more details as you can read their great synopses on her website:

Eve (12th in the Eve Duncan Series – 2011)
Quinn (13th in the Eve Duncan Series – 2011)
Bonnie (14th in the Eve Duncan Series – 2011)

If you want to read, what the author and her readers consider, the introductory books of the Eve Duncan character then you will want to get the following:

The Face of Deception (1st in the Eve Duncan Series – 1998)
The Killing Game (2nd in the Eve Duncan Series – 1999)
The Search (3rd in the Eve Duncan Series – 2000)

As of right now, there are a total of 19 “Eve Duncan” series books that feature her as the main character. However, she does appear in a couple of other books written by Ms. Johansen as a secondary or tertiary character. I like that she includes a few of her other characters from her other books in her new ones. It feels like you are getting an update into their lives while enjoying a completely different story. The Eve Duncan series is wildly popular with her readers. Testimony to that is that she has written another 5 books for the character after having finally solving her biggest motivations to keep solving mysteries.
