Have You Read Any Good Detective Stories

Share this post on:

Have you read any good detective stories lately? I love to read a good mystery whether the main character is a man or woman. I like the story itself. And if it keeps you guessing until the end then all the better. As a female person, I happen to like a little romance thrown in for good measure. I will even put up with a little technical talk. One of my most favorite authors is JD Robb (AKA Nora Roberts) and her characters in the Eve Dallas series. Her novels have digressed in the romance department but the stories are always interesting and keep you guessing. Her characters are always fully fleshed out as she approaches the 60th story in the series (that includes full stories and short stories included in anthologies) she has a wider circle of friends that we learn more and more about with each story she writes. However, I do think she is winding down with this series as she usually publishes at least 2 novels in the series each year for the last 20 or so years and would probably like to move onto something else.

It is so fun to speculate what we will have available to solve crimes in the future. I would love to have one of those flying cars. We are getting very close to have it but what we really need are more environmentally friendly vehicles. We really don’t need virtual reality rooms that we can live out our fantasy but it would be nice. I especially like the automatic meal dispensers. Who wouldn’t want to push a button and get a deliciously prepared meal on a plate?

If you haven’t started her Eve Dallas series then you really need to try them out. There are almost 60 books in the series and they are fun to read over and over again. I try to read the entire collection about once a year. If you read a series that has lots of books, the storylines are fresh and interesting in each of the books and have some quirky characters give us a comment below and share them with us.

Cheers and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
