Life has a funny way of nudging us in new directions just when we think we have everything figured out. Over the past couple of years, mine has done exactly that — and the result has been one of the most energizing seasons of my life.
Many of you have followed along as I’ve worn a lot of hats: author, digital marketer, podcast host, book reviewer, jewelry maker, and workamper on Florida’s beautiful public lands. Those experiences didn’t disappear. They stacked up into something bigger.
I’m now a graduate student at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, pursuing a Master’s in Social Media. My research focuses on how mobile technology can empower solo women travelers — particularly at public lands across the United States. That passion led me to launch Solo Sojourn, a technology and research venture built to give solo women travelers better access to safety resources, community, and information at the places they love most.

New priorities don’t mean abandoning old ones, though. My books are still very much part of my world. My author marketing guide “Build Your Author Brand” is in progress for a Fall 2026 release, and my fiction (under pen name L.J. Green) keeps moving forward.

If you’ve ever felt the pull to pivot — to pursue something that scares you a little but excites you a lot — you’re in good company. Change doesn’t close doors. It opens ones you didn’t know were there.
More updates coming soon. Thanks for being part of the journey.
