The main reason you want a website of your very own is to have control on what is on it, the colors used, the pictures and the words. It would be a place on the digital highway that every single potential reader and future fan can find information about you and just about you and your books.

Once you get it set-up and going make sure to add links to your books, your social media and a way to collect email addresses for your customers. You will always have the options to upgrade to your very own domain with a paid web hosting services. In the meantime make sure you keep the information updated and ensure that all of the links work.

Tumblr is an American microblogging and social networking website founded by David Karp in 2007 and currently owned by Automattic. The service allows users to post multimedia and other content to a short-form blog.
