New eBook Store Plugin

475 Gift Basket IdeasNew eBook Store Plug-in. Yes, we are once again trying to a new eCommerce plug-in for our eBook store page. We have not been satisfied with any of the FREE eCommerce plug-ins being offered on and are not willing to pay for one until we actually find one that will work with our own WordPress theme and, of course, we begin to make some book sales. We have moved most of our handcrafted (physical items) that we have for sale to our Square-Up Marketplace account. They handle all the financial transactions and we just ship the items. Since, I have always wanted to own and operate my own bookstore I am determined to keep at it until I find one that works for me. We have an inventory of over 200 eBooks that we have the resell rights to and will be adding them a little at a time. We have some more that we haven’t been able to assess yet and will work on those once we have the others added. Almost every single one of those will only be $1.00 and are available for immediate download with all payments being processed through PAYPAL. Again, we will not have access to your financial information with them either.

The eCommerce plug-in we are using now is called Easy Digital Downloads. It allows you to sell digital products through Paypal Standard and works with our own themes. We have tested the process and it seems to be working pretty well. You can view the products we have to offer in a Grid Listing on OUR EBOOK STORE page. Once you click on a title it will take you to the individual page for that particular eBook. There is an “Add to Cart” button and once it is clicked you can either “Check Out” or continue shopping.

We can also add books to our other pages and posts as well. For instance:

Insiders Guide to Campground Hosting in Florida Parks Our blog writer’s very first book she has published and is also available on Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, iBooks and CreateSpace to name a few. This version is in Acrobat Reader PDF and includes pictures and a large Appendix section with samples of Workamper Applications, sections of Volunteer Handbooks from different agencies, etc.
