New Store Section for our website has been created and we are adding new eBooks to our inventory as fast as we can. You can visit it by clicking OUR STORE tab above or clicking HERE. Of course, you can buy an Acrobat Reader PDF format of our Insider’s Guide to Campground Hosting in Florida Parks directly from us. We have added most of the holiday books, coloring and craft pages and cookbooks. We are in the process of adding more eBooks we own the resell rights to as we can. Separating the store into it’s own domain should help keep our websites running quickly and efficiently as possible. Now that we are using a new web hosting service we hoping not to have to change to another one any time in the future.

What’s Happening This Week? We have added our very own Acrobat Reader PDF version of our recently published eBook called the Insider’s Guide to Campground Hosting in Florida Parks. Since we sell eBooks we thought we would offer a slightly different version here than we have published on Amazon Kindle and Smashwords. These two self-publishing companies are great for fiction writers but not so much for non-fiction writers. Non-Fiction books should have an index of terms and appendix pages available for their readers. This is as close to a paperback or hardback copy of our book as you can get. Granted, you are able to search for keywords within the eBook versions of our book on both sites but for those of us who like to look through indexes in books to find stuff and really appreciated accompanying material in our non-fiction books then Acrobat Reader PDFs are the way to go.

Have you been on KDP Amazon Yet? I have and have started the self-publishing journey with my first book. They have some really great tools for new authors such as eBook cover art studio, how to promote your book tools, and even preview tools so you can see how your eBook will look on various eBook readers including IPads, IPhones and more. They have simple instructions on how to create your book in a Microsoft Word document and then converts your book into their .mobi format to sell online. https://kdp.amazon.com/
For those of us who are willing to learn how to self-publish they seem to have the simplest tools to use. You, alone, have to decide if their terms are worth it to you. All you have to do is create your account with the publishing branch of Amazon. You can use your Amazon account, if you like, and they transfer most of your information over for you. You will have to link a bank account to this account as the royalties you receive from your sales will go directly into your bank account. Of course, you will have to fill our a W-9 form for taxes. You will have to file and pay your own income taxes from these earnings and might want to talk to an accountant about that. And you can read more about it on the IRS website under self-employement And, depending, on what state you live in you might have to file state taxes as well.

Seeking other venues to help promote your site is helpful in these fast-paced times. Having your products on commercial websites such as Etsy.com and Ebay is a great way to advertise your own website and what you can offer the buying public. The best thing about having your own website is that, You Make The Rules, and can sell anything on it you wish. The downside to your own website is that you have to promote, publish and push your wares and pay for that promotion is a variety of places. Yes, this is just as much work as creating your items that you want to sell, no matter what they might be. Just as writers need to promote their books in local bookstores, online bookstores and attending book fairs; crafts persons must promote themselves and their work too.
